Spaghetti ala Bolognese

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef, lean
  • ½ lb. sausage
  • ½ medium onion, chopped
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¾ cup Holland House® Red Cooking Wine
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 can (28 oz.) tomatoes, diced
  • 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
  • 1 lb. spaghetti, cooked

Directions

  1. Chop ground beef and sausage until well minced. Cook onion, beef and sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until pink is gone, about 6 minutes.
  2. Add milk and simmer rapidly until almost evaporated, about 4 minutes.
  3. Add Holland House® Red Cooking Wine and beef bouillon. Simmer rapidly for 4 minutes.
  4. Add canned tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer rapidly for 15-20 minutes until sauce is thick.
  5. Serve with cooked spaghetti.
