Ingredients

Steak Marinade:

  • 12 oz strip steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • ¼ cup Holland House® Red Cooking Wine
  • 1 tbsp roasted garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin

For Cooking:

Directions

  1. Slice the steak against the grain, then cut into bite-sized cubes. Add the steak to a medium bowl. Pour in the Holland House® Red Cooking Wine, roasted garlic paste, avocado oil, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and cumin. Toss until evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30mins.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add the avocado oil. Add the steak in a single layer and sear for about 3 minutes without moving it. Flip the steak and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes, or until your desired doneness.
  3. Pour in the remaining ¼ cup Holland House® Red Cooking Wine. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the wine reduces into a rich, glossy sauce that coats the steak.
  4. Warm the tortillas. Spread about 2 to 3 tablespoons of guacamole onto each tortilla. Top with the red wine steak bites, about 2 to 3 tablespoons of pico de gallo, and finish with a squeeze of fresh lime. Serve immediately.
