Holland House® White Cooking Wine
Directions
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in large cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat until shimmering
- Place cabbage in pan, cut-side down. Cook 2-4 minutes or until deeply browned on one side
- Turn cabbage to second cut side, add remaining 1 tablespoon oil, and continue cooking 2-4 minutes or until browned
- Meanwhile, whisk Holland House® White Cooking Wine, miso, vinegar, honey and garlic powder in small bowl
- Turn cabbage cut-sides up; pour cooking wine mixture over cabbage
- Cook on medium-low heat 8-10 minutes or until cabbage is tender and liquid is reduced to just a few tablespoons, turning occasionally
- Sprinkle with ground black pepper and chives before serving
Tips
- Substitute chopped Italian parsley for the chives.
- White miso paste (shiro miso) adds the right amount of seasoning and savory umami flavor.
